I have been exploring the world around me through art for nearly four decades. Growing up in Washington D.C., I learned how to draw from the city streets, moving my pencil fast to keep up with the changing scenes around me. In the summer, when my family traveled north to New Hampshire, the dreamy, hazy light of July and August inspired me to pick up a watercolor set. Today I work in watercolor, oil, pencil, pen and Adobe Photoshop. My illustrations have been featured as Stave Puzzles, in the New York Times Magazine, The Valley News and The Herald of Randolph. My larger works have been shown at the Morrill Homestead and Matt Brown Fine Art. I teach watercolor and illustration at AVA Gallery and through the Justin Morrill Education Center.
